well, that's quite easy. being friendly is a pat on the back saying "hey, how are you today?" and nothing more. he may call you sweety, but he goes beyond friendly by grabbing your face and calling you honey bun simultaneously. he wanted to know if you had a boyfriend, so he played the typical "oblivious" role by coyly asking "was that your boyfriend?" in other words, uming you have one so he doesn't sound desperate in flat out asking you "so do you have a boyfriend?" that would completely blow his cover. the way to find out if this might be more is to see how he interacts with the other girls. does he call them these names as well, grab their faces, smile at them a lot? if so, he could just be a guy that is flirtatious and very good with girls. in other words, a girl magnet. observe that. if he's just askin them how they are, but not doing to them what he does to you, i'd say yes, he likes you.
