Why do working cl conservatives betray their cl in favour of something theyll never be?

When people are conservatives because they hope to someday be a rich conservative that looks down on the working cl it disgusts me. So what if they do make it, does that make their attitude alright ? The problem here is simply that those people believe that part of being wealthy is being a snob. And in their deluded mind they get closer to be rich if they start being a Capitalistic pig while still working in the fields, the construction sites and the factories. Maybe they will catch a break and their start up business will work. More than likely though they just helped to insure that themselves and their kind will remain at a disproportionate economic disadvantage.
