If libs had their way would Saddam & Sons still be torturing, raping, dismembering and killing Iraqi citizens?

Why are libs more bothered with the perceived mistreatment of a few Guantanamo bay detainees than with the wholesale torture, dismemberment, , and killing of Iraqi citizens by Saddam?
