Dontrelle Willis has been designated for ingment! Thoughts? Bonus Question?

So tomorrow, the Tigers, will likely released Dontrelle. It's been sad to see this guy struggled for a long time although he has pitched better but still has control problems. My question is: Should he go back to the NL or become a hitter? Remember, this guy can hit!
